Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, our authentication provider collects your email address and, if you sign in with a social provider (such as Google, Apple, X, or GitHub), the basic profile information that provider shares with us — typically your name, email address, and profile picture. We also store the username and profile photo you set in the app.

Creator information. If you apply to list a stock as a creator, we collect the social media handles, follower counts, and identity verification documents you submit so we can verify your identity and eligibility. Verified creator profiles — including name, photo, social handles, and stock statistics — are public on the marketplace.

Payment information. Deposits and withdrawals are processed by Stripe. Your card and bank details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us — we never see or store full card numbers. We keep records of your wallet balance and transactions (deposits, trades, dividends, withdrawals) to operate the service and meet our financial record-keeping obligations.

Usage information. We collect privacy-friendly, anonymous page analytics (such as which pages are visited) that are not tied to your identity, and we honor your browser's Do Not Track setting. We also record security-relevant activity on your account, such as sign-in events.

How we use your information

• To operate the marketplace: maintain your account, wallet, portfolio, and transaction history.
• To process deposits, trades, dividends, and withdrawals.
• To verify creator identities and keep verified creator names and photos in sync with their social media presence, protecting fans from impersonation.
• To detect and prevent fraud, market manipulation, and abuse.
• To send you notifications about your account and activity on the platform.
• To understand aggregate usage and improve the product.

What we share — and what we don't

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third-party advertising networks.

We share information only with the service providers we rely on to run Celebrity Stocks: our authentication provider (account sign-in), Stripe (payments), and our hosting infrastructure. These providers process your information only to provide their services to us.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the platform.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser storage for signing you in and keeping your session secure, and for remembering preferences such as your light/dark theme. Our page analytics are anonymous and are not used to track you across other websites.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Transaction and payment records are retained for as long as necessary to comply with financial, tax, and legal obligations, even after an account is closed.

Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and payment processing handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified provider. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

Your rights and choices

You can update your username and profile photo in your account settings at any time. Note that verified creators' names and photos are managed automatically from their social media identity and cannot be edited — this is an anti-impersonation protection.

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email below. We may need to retain certain transaction records as required by law.

Age requirement

Celebrity Stocks involves real money and is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
